I am happiest when I'm learning and applying theory and techniques that can bring greater peace and well-being to individuals, including myself! I've been learning about anxiety disorders and OCD for over 10 years, and have been treating these issues for the last six. I am very solutions-oriented and believe that most, if not all, problems can be figured out and solved.

I received specialized training and certification in Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) -- which is the treatment of choice for OCD -- from the University of Pennsylvania's Center for the Treatment and Study of Anxiety. I also received training as a clinical intern from the Anxiety and Stress Disorders Institute of Maryland. As a graduate student, I was awarded a scholarship in recognition of outstanding counseling skills and academic achievement from the University of Baltimore's Counseling Psychology program. I am diligent about staying current with research based treatment.

In my free time, I like to meditate, read, practice yoga (I'm a certified teacher), see new places, and go hiking.
